We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Works Project Manager to oversee the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale public works projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and timelines for public works projects, including roads, underground, water/wastewater systems, and other municipal infrastructure. Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with community needs and regulatory requirements. Budget Oversight:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, safety, and zoning requirements. Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative working environment. Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Progress Reporting:
Prepare and deliver regular updates and presentations to stakeholders, including elected officials and the public. Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work meets design specifications and quality standards. Qualifications: Experience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience managing public works or infrastructure projects. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and BlueBeam Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Work Environment: Office-based with frequent on-site inspections of project locations.
