LUN-A-TIC Position Summary The Shift Leader assists in inspiring and developing their team, upholding Luna Grills high standards, and providing exceptional guest service and awareness to ensure the guests of Luna Grill become Raving Fans. Will be responsible for running a great shift by providing leadership and guidance in utilization of training tools to the Cashiers and assisting the manager as needed. Provides knowledge to cashiers and team trainers and empowers the team to provide excellent guest service and awareness. Informs guests of LTOs and menu changes and makes recommendations accordingly. Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items by answering questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services. Takes guest food orders and handles cash and credit transactions according to standards. Works with kitchen staff to meet any special requirements for ingredients and food preparation. Delivers food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. Performs side work at the start and end of each shift as required and checks team members out of position if scheduled as MOD. Maintains cleanliness, organization, and mise en place in the service area, dining room, and restrooms. Monitors and observes guests dining experiences. Ensures guests are satisfied with the food and service. Responds promptly and courteously to any requests. Delegates tasks to front of the house team regarding day-to-day operations. Assists with counting inventory and entering data into the computer system. Assists with morning admin duties, bank runs, DBR, placing and invoicing Sysco/beer/wine orders. Assists with training new front of the house team members. Ensures the restaurant runs efficiently while the Manager is absent. Attends all scheduled team member meetings/training and brings suggestions for improvements.
