LUN-A-TIC Position Summary The Shift Leader assists in inspiring and developing their team, upholding Luna Grills high standards , and providing e xceptional guest service and awareness to ensure the guests of Luna G rill will become Raving Fans . Will be responsible for running a great shift by providing leadership and guidance in utilization of training tools to the Cashiers and assist the manager as needed. Provides knowledge to cashiers and team trainers and empowers the team to provide great guest service and awa reness Informs guest (s) of LTOs and menu changes and m akes recommendations accordingly . Demonstrate s knowledge of the brand and menu items by a nswer ing questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services Takes guests food orders and handle cash and credit transactions according to standards Works with kitchen staff to meet any special requirements for ingredients and preparation of food Delivers food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner Performs side work at the start and end of each shift as required and checks team members our of position if scheduled as MOD Maintains cleanliness , organization , and mise en place in the service area, dining room and restrooms Monitors and observe guest s dining experience . Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service . Respond promptly and courteously to any requests Delegates tasks to front of the house team regarding day-to-day operations Assists with counting inventory and entering into the computer system Assists with morning admin duties, bank runs , DBR, placing and invoicing Sysco/beer/ wine Assists with training new front of the house team members Ensures restaurant is running efficiently while Manager is absent Attends all schedule team member meetings/training and brings suggestions for improvements Luna Grill is an equal opportunity employer.
