Director of Business Development (Traveling – KS / MN) . We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our sales strategy, drive growth, and make a significant impact on our success.

In this role, you will develop and execute sales strategies aligned with our business plans, build strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and grow our project pipeline. You will report directly to the Vice President & General Manager and will be required to travel 50-75% of the time. Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing annual and long-term sales strategies aligned with business plans. Forge long-term relationships with target customers to support sales strategies. Establish networks to gain insights into future project opportunities. Attend industry events to promote our services. Interface with customers during project initiation to ensure satisfaction and escalate concerns as needed. Report regularly on sales strategy progress and maintain the opportunity pipeline using Microsoft Dynamics. Review market data and competitor activities to provide insights to senior management. Manage the sales pipeline, including opportunities, bids, and proposals. Requirements & Skills
Understanding of substation construction projects and the power delivery market. Knowledge of substations, switchyards, transmission lines, and equipment. Market trend awareness and growth strategy knowledge. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities. Proven ability to develop customer relationships and close deals. Experience with sales metrics and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Education & Experience
B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related experience. 5-7 years in power delivery business development. Project management experience preferred. Additional Details
