We are looking for a highly skilled Infrastructure Design Manager with an electrical focus, who is passionate about our mission to join our energy infrastructure engineering team with focus on cell manufacturing and R&D improvements. In this role, you will be asked to own and drive the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to build. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction and project management. The role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen. This role requires you to be extremely detail oriented, identify real hard barriers and drive the cross-functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You will drive collaboration between Engineering disciplines, Construction, R&D, operations to ensure our team’s goals are aligned with company priorities. We are a demanding and fast-paced environment, so being self‐motivated and disciplined is critical.

What You'll Do

Organize and manage design reviews, construction design packages and deliverables to support all aspects of construction: including scope of work, kick-off, MDR, 30%, 60%, 90%, IFP, IFCDefine strategies for design and engineering deliverables including construction and permit packagesOwn the full design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to delivery to meet our aggressive goalsManage permitting and construction documents including transmittals and RFI’sCoordinate project schedule with construction team based on Procurement and Construction requirements for the overall schedule success of the projectFundamentally understand stakeholder’s requirements and translate them into project deliverablesManage all aspects of technical planning, scope development, change management, programming, design, and engineering services during constructionBuild and maintain strong relationships with the various cross-functional teams to ensure overall program alignmentUnderstand different project delivery methods including design bid build, integrated project development, and fast track projectsImplement innovative electrical design based on infrastructure knowledge and collaboration with Facilities Engineering, Construction, Self Perform, and other appropriate stakeholders to support aggressive program and construction schedules

What You'll Bring

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of professional experience requiredExperience managing multi-disciplinary within A/E firmsExperience with managing complex MEP projectsFully understanding all engineering disciplines and be able to demonstrate skills to manage engineering resourceProven record in delivery of IFB, IFP and IFC packagesExperience and familiarity with VDC approach to project management of manufacturing, industrial, R&D facilities, workplace and site infrastructure developmentProject management skills, demonstrated application of project and program management fundamentals to complex engineering problemsExcellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with ability to understand complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan amongst stakeholders including Facilities Engineering, BIM team, Self Perform teams, and end usersPositive, enthusiastic, fast learner, can-do mindset and passionate about building complex infrastructure

Expected Compensation

$88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
