Job Summary

The Director of BSW Student Services position involves recruitment, processing admission, and all academic advisement of students for the undergraduate program in social work. This position requires teaching one course per semester.

The School of Social Work is seeking a highly organized and adaptable professional to join our team to support student success. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced academic environment, efficiently managing multiple tasks while adjusting to shifting priorities throughout the day. This position plays a key role in supporting student success-serving as a knowledgeable and approachable resource to help students understand degree requirements and stay on track for graduation. Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, as the role works closely with faculty, staff, and students across the university.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$58,000-$62,000

Required Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in Social Work 2. Interest in and knowledge of Social Work 3. Computer skills involve working with PC software 4. Ability to communicate with faculty, staff, department heads, students, parents and alumni

Preferred Qualifications

1. Supervisory experience 2. Two years of experience post Master's degree

Work Hours

8:00 - 4:30 with occasional weekends, as needed.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods 2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work 3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
