The candidate will support High Voltage Power Inverter development & validation methods and practices, with an emphasis on PowerHIL and dynamometer test integration, will author and publish various technical documents, e.g. standard operating procedures, validation specifications, etc., will author, review, and comprehend performance and durability requirements for High Voltage Power Inverters, provide technical expertise and direction during DFMEA and DRBTR activities, help align the team with virtual engineering activities and will be aware of relevant industry trends, standards, and regulations.
The candidate will also monitor field performance and failures of Stellantis High Voltage Power Inverters, mentor team members on best practices and effective problem solving, collect, process, and present typical engineering data, e.g. time-series data acquisition from physical testing, author incident reports via the Stellantis problem tracking system for product issues discovered during DVP&R activities, comprehend accelerated testing and reliability demonstration, perform related calculations and write work orders, purchase requests, etc. for outsourced testing and other procurement.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree field
3 years of relevant experience
English fluency, both written and verbal
Demonstrated technical report writing ability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams or SharePoint
Knowledge of DVP&R, DRBTR, and DFMEA creation & execution
Knowledge of High Voltage Power Electronics devices and construction, especially High Voltage Power Inverters
Be available full-time, on-site at the CTC location in Auburn Hills, MI
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering
5 or more years of relevant professional experience
Previous experience working with DVP&R activities for High Voltage Power Electronics, especially High Voltage Power Inverter Modules
Previous experience authoring and managing technical specification documents
Previous Design Release Engineering experience
Previous End-of-Line definition experience
Previous experience working in the automotive industry
Knowledge of typical laboratory test equipment including digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers, low and high voltage power supplies, coolant conditioning units, electric motor dynamometer, ETAS-based data acquisition systems
Previous experience using a high voltage electric motor emulator
English fluency, both written and verbal
