Alexander Rose is currently partnering with a leading civil construction company to recruit a seasoned Senior Project Manager for their water and wastewater division. We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to lead complex infrastructure projects, oversee all phases of project delivery, and ensure successful execution through strong leadership, budget control, and client collaboration. I. Purpose The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish while ensuring adherence to key performance indicators: cost, schedule, quality, payment requests/collections, and client relations. This role also involves training and developing Assistant Project Managers and supporting the Senior Project Manager. II. Responsibilities Control the time, cost, and quality aspects of construction projects. Interpret and execute the full project scope, including contract documents, drawings, specs, and codes. Lead effective preconstruction and subcontractor meetings. Minimize punch list items by proactively identifying issues. Coordinate all construction phases, including subcontractor hiring and collaboration with architects, engineers, and vendors. Develop business, phasing, site utilization, and occupancy plans. Generate critical path schedules and ensure schedule adherence. Produce timely and accurate cost projections and project meeting documentation. Evaluate and coordinate material and equipment needs. Support the Superintendent in managing labor, staffing, and site safety. Monitor construction progress, productivity, and regulatory compliance. Handle contracts, permitting, and scheduling logistics. Proactively resolve delays and issues caused by weather or emergencies. Verify shop drawings, submittals, and on-site compliance with plans. Deliver project profitability in line with or above target. Minimize warranty claims and post-completion issues. Mentor junior staff and support their career growth. Maintain strong client relations and communication. Identify project scope changes early and act accordingly. Report project progress to owners and stakeholders; conduct formal project meetings. Oversee daily operations for multiple projects when necessary. Involve senior leadership when project goals are at risk. III. Requirements Financial oversight skills covering labor, vendors, equipment, tools, and overhead. Proficiency or willingness to learn: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Bluebeam, Procore/Project Sight, P6 Primavera, MS Project, Viewpoint, Viewpoint Field Work Center, HCSS. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to manage complex workflows under pressure. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills. Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and project management software. IV. Physical Requirements Must be able to walk construction job sites effectively. Ability to perform light physical labor (e.g., water pumping, shoveling, debris removal). Willingness to travel and stay at project sites for extended periods if needed. Professional appearance and communication required.
