with a strong presence in the Southeast is seeking an experienced
Senior Project Manager
to oversee large-scale civil infrastructure projects in the
Nashville, TN
area. This contractor specializes in complex projects including
roadways, earthwork, utilities, bridges, and water/wastewater systems , and is known for its commitment to safety, quality, and team development. Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of heavy civil projects ranging from
$10M-$100M . This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can manage multiple stakeholders, drive project performance, and support both field operations and client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans; ensure adherence to contract specifications and client expectations Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution Mentor and supervise project engineers, superintendents, and field personnel Monitor safety, quality control, and compliance on job sites Review and approve subcontractor and vendor agreements Analyze and mitigate risks; identify opportunities for improvement in processes and performance Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred Minimum of
10 years
of heavy civil construction experience, with at least
5 years
in a project management role Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams Experience managing public and private sector infrastructure projects Proficiency in construction software tools such as
