SUMMARY
We are looking for someone to join our team as the
Supply Chain Manager
at Andrews Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Supply Chain Manager at our surgery center is responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. This role ensures that surgical operations run smoothly by maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of surgical instruments, implants, and disposable supplies. Conduct regular audits to prevent stock outs or overstocking. Use inventory management systems to track usage and forecast needs.
Procurement and Vendor Management: Source and purchase medical supplies and equipment from approved vendors. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies to operating rooms and other departments. Ensure that sterile and non-sterile items are handled according to regulatory standards.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., OSHA, FDA). Maintain documentation for audits and inspections. Implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with surgical staff to understand supply needs and preferences. Communicate effectively with finance, operations, and clinical teams to align supply chain strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze supply usage trends and costs to identify savings opportunities. Generate reports on inventory turnover, supplier performance, and budget adherence.
Technology and Systems Management: Utilize ERP or specialized healthcare supply chain software. Train staff on inventory systems and ensure data accuracy.
Risk Management: Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions. Monitor expiration dates and recall notices to prevent the use of compromised products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in ERP or specialized healthcare supply chain software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethical and moral character references
ASC Experience
SKILLS:
Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of surgical instruments and medical supplies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
