Job Summary: The Front Desk Supervisor plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk. This position ensures a seamless check-in and check-out process, handles guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, and supports the front desk team through training, coaching, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise front desk agents to ensure smooth, efficient, and courteous service.
Assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments, ensuring accuracy in reservations and billing.
Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
Maintain a strong presence at the front desk, setting the tone for service excellence.
Ensure that all daily tasks, logs, and reports are completed accurately and on time.
Train and mentor new front desk agents and provide ongoing guidance and support.
Monitor appearance, grooming, and conduct of team members in accordance with resort standards.
Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, etc.) to ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
Uphold security procedures and manage room key control.
Assist with scheduling and shift coverage as needed.
Operate and manage hotel systems such as OPERA and HotSOS (or similar PMS systems).
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of front desk experience in a luxury or high-volume hotel setting.
Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in hotel PMS systems (OPERA preferred).
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
Capable of moving quickly to address guest needs throughout the property.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
$26.00-$26.00 per hour
