If you are detail-oriented, hardworking, and looking for a place to call home, we invite you to apply for this opening.Job DescriptionPosition Summary & ObjectiveThe Electro-Mechanical Technician will perform regular routine maintenance such as inspections and services on all facility machines and equipment. Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling when necessary. The Electro-mechanical Technician will apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of potential problems and fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.AccountabilitiesRequires on-call duty rotating weekly basisQuality of work; strives for accuracy, thoroughness, and adjusts to changes in work assignments/ conditionsProductivity; delivers a full day's work and adheres to break/lunch periods, and meets deadlines Job knowledge; knowledgeable in all facets of job and willingness to learn new skills/ techniquesInitiative; motivated to work with little supervision, suggests improvements, and demonstrates desire to get the job doneSafety; adheres to safety policies and follows Company housekeeping practicesAttendance/ Dependability; works required hours with minimum of absences, arrives on time and remains until end of shift, and notifies supervisor promptly of tardiness, absence, need to leave earlyCommunication; keeps supervisor apprised of problems/concerns and asks questions when necessaryCooperation; works harmoniously with supervision, employees, visitors and accepts constructive criticismEssential Functions Performed by the PositionAnalyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective actionMakes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and qualityTest equipment to check reliable, safe operationsVerifies equipment operation after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtimeMakes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate actionExamines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective actionNotifies maintenance department supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality/ safety problems or supplies neededInstructs and directs any maintenance trainees assignedMay do paint and other types of upgrade workMay work on building, grounds, office maintenance, roof repair, plumbing, etcNew office/plant equipment installation/ commissioningCompletion of any other assigned dutiesSet up, adjust, and maintain assigned production equipment and machine toolsMaintain the quality of the company's production equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, and basic electrical equipmentDiagnose malfunctions in production machinery and equipmentRepair and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematic drawings, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specificationsSet up and operate metalworking machinery and tools, such as lathe, drill press, and grinder to make and repair partsWire control panels, motors, sensors, and power systems according to schematics and technical drawings.
