Bridge Lacrosse is a sports-based youth development nonprofit serving the urban communities of North & Central Texas. Our mission is to use the sport of lacrosse to broaden the horizons of our community's youth. We believe that our programs can become an integral part of youth development in the urban communities we serve. AmeriCorps Members serving with Bridge Lacrosse commit to a full year of part-time service. This location requires a total service commitment of

900 hours, 20 hours per week, between September 02, 2025 to August 28th, 2026.

Available for an additional terms following end of term.

Job Title : Part-Time AmeriCorps Program Coordinator (based in Dallas, Texas)

Working Hours:

20 hours per week, evenings and weekends required

Description

The Program Coordinator contributes to different aspects of our sports-based youth development programming and direct services. Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for running in-school and after-school lacrosse clinics and programming. In addition, weekend game day and clinics during our spring and summer season. This will include but not limited to the following: field upkeep, game day setup and takedown, equipment distribution, etc.

Primary Responsibilities • Assisting with or leading lacrosse clinics for groups of children of various ages • Researching, creating, and testing new lacrosse games, drills, and exercises for afterschool programming, PE classes, and weekly practices • Assisting with new players • Distributing equipment • Assisting with various Bridge seasonal events • Assisting with field responsibilities (including, but not limited to): painting lines, setting up equipment for practice and game days • Assisting with the coordination and management of volunteers and coaches • Maintaining Bridge social media tools such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. • Organizing and keeping inventory up to date alongside Bridge Staff • Must be well organized and able to multitask effectively and efficiently • Must have reliable transportation and supply own laptop computer

Skills & Qualifications We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who believes that sports can play a direct role in providing opportunities to youth. The Program Coordinator believes and excels at maintaining meaningful relationships with all members of our organization. Our ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial and can-do spirit in accomplishing the goals and objectives of Bridge. Lastly, the Program Coordinator must have a great sense of humor and spirit in working with kids on a regular basis. • Enthusiasm for working in fast-paced, youth-centric organization • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal • Exceptional work ethic and ability to take initiative on one's own to address questions and challenges • Passion and commitment to improving the quality of opportunities for urban communities • Lacrosse background preferred but not required • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline focused environment • Must be able to manage and comfortably work with large groups of children and/or adults • Must be able to work nights and weekends, when necessary • Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle required • Former Bridge student-athletes are highly encouraged to apply

Benefits include

Living Allowance of $10,800.00; paid out biweekly ($415.39) Education Award of $3,697.50; earned at the end of term
