We are looking for a dynamic and self-driven
Senior Linux System Administrator
to join our team. In this role, you will take charge of provisioning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and operating both hardware and software in our Linux environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Linux systems to ensure optimal performance. Install and configure new servers according to operational standards. Handle the installation and maintenance of operating systems, including patching, new installations, and upgrades. Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot the Linux environment. Conduct daily monitoring of hardware, applications, key processes, and scheduled jobs. Oversee daily backup operations following established guidelines. Create and update documentation for installation and configuration procedures. Regularly perform security monitoring of the Linux environment. Manage user accounts and system access. Desired Skills: Familiarity with load balancing technology, server farms, and web services. Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, and TLS protocols. Proficient in key Linux distributions such as Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and Ubuntu. Experience with virtualization technologies. Server configuration and automation using Ansible. Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, Perl, or PowerShell. Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform. Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server systems. Experience with Kafka environments. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in Linux administration or a cloud operations role. A minimum of 3 years of scripting experience. Comprehensive experience in Linux OS configuration and management. Expertise in shell scripting, cron jobs, user account management, and log analysis. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including documentation. Able to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
