We are seeking a proactive and skilled

Senior Linux Systems Administrator

to enhance our team. In this role, you will be vital in managing the provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operation of our Linux environments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the management of Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Install and configure new servers according to industry standards and operational requirements. Perform installation and maintenance of operating systems, including patching, new installations, and upgrades. Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot all aspects of the Linux environment proactively. Conduct daily system monitoring covering hardware, applications, key processes, and scheduled jobs. Ensure robustness through adhering to daily backup operations following established guidelines. Create, maintain, and contribute to comprehensive installation and configuration documentation. Implement continuous security monitoring for all Linux environments. Manage user accounts and system access efficiently. Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of load balancing technologies, server farms, and web services. Familiarity with networking protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, and TLS. Expertise with distributions like Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and Ubuntu Linux. Experience with virtualization technologies and server automation using tools like Ansible. Proficiency in scripting with languages such as Shell, Python, Perl, or PowerShell. Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform and Kafka environments is a plus. Intermediate understanding of Windows Server systems is advantageous. Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux administration or a cloud operations role. At least 3 years of experience in scripting. Proficiency in configuring and managing Linux-based operating systems. Ability to perform shell scripting, cron jobs, user account management, log analysis, and configuration of common services. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an emphasis on documentation.
