Job Type: Full-Time | 75% Clinical, 25% Administrative
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM | 7 Days/Week | May include evenings/weekends
Position Summary: A growing multi-specialty outpatient healthcare group in Sussex County, DE is seeking a Medical Director to lead its Urgent Care division. The ideal candidate will oversee and direct the work of physicians, APPs, and medical assistants, while helping shape clinical protocols, improve quality metrics, and support team performance. This leadership role is ideal for a dynamic physician passionate about patient-centered, technology-driven care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical oversight and supervision for urgent care providers and staff Develop and implement operational policies and clinical workflows Initiate and monitor quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives Work collaboratively with leadership across departments Maintain a clinical caseload (approximately 75% of total time) Qualifications:
MD or DO with active Delaware medical license (or ability to obtain) Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with pediatric experience Minimum of 3 years of urgent care or emergency medicine experience Active DEA registration ACLS & PALS certification required Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $275,000+ annually Performance-based bonus opportunities Partnership opportunities available Relocation stipend available 80% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee only) $2,500 annual CME allowance 5 weeks paid time off Malpractice coverage with tail included 401(k) retirement plan
