Posting Context Statement

Reporting to the Director of Student Involvement, this position is responsible for developing and realizing much of the Department of Student Involvement's (DSI) engagement and educational programs and events. This will include:

Creating, overseeing, and executing Vandal Entertainment vision, budget, marketing, and all Vandal Entertainment events and programs. Supervising Vandal Entertainment Student Coordinators. Mentoring student employees regarding personal and professional leadership development for general student success. Managing, attending, and supervising students develop and implement event schedules for the campus. Executing departmental summer, daytime, and evening events and programs. Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.

Duties may include:

Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records Maintaining program calendars and schedules May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator Other duties as assigned Unit URL

Position Qualifications

Required Experience

Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions Required Education

High School Diploma or equivalent Required Other

Ability to travel Ability to work nonstandard business hours which may include weekends, nights and holidays Additional Preferred

Three years of professional experience interacting with students, faculty and administrators in a college or university setting Experience supervising staff Experience in higher education advising or supervising college students Experience with writing grants Experience and working with agents and contract negotiation Experience and knowledgeable initiating and implementing new programs/projects Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
