Processing and Customer Service departments on Day Shift.

Position Details:
Day Shift: 3 shifts per week (6:30am-7pm) with 4th rotating weekends and holidays
General Lab Processing &
Customer Service Dept (Send-outs
)
In-Office position (non-remote)
Lab Pre-Analytic Departments
Receive, process, and distribute laboratory specimens including storage, packaging, and shipping of specimens
Provide results to caregivers
This position does not perform phlebotomy
Experience:
Strong Lab experience (preferred)
Strong communication skills
Call Center and/or phone customer service experience
Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities, especially in a call center or phone environment.
Proficient in various computer systems and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting

Missouri Baptist Medical Center
, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role Purpose
Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
