Onboarding the Client Network to bank's credit card transaction authorization processing system is a major focus for bank. A key early milestone of this integration is enabling new front book account bookings and a well-managed back book conversion.
The Product Manager selected for this opportunity will lead day-to-day execution of refinement, delivery, and validation workstreams related to network integration, conversion, and well-managed intent with bank's legacy authorization processing system vendor and internal bank partner teams.
Team Details This Product Manager will report to bank's TSYS Card Authorizations Product Lead (Thomas Rodgers)
Work Products Drive refinement and delivery through coordinated preparation, communication, and statusing for bank's legacy vendor workstreams associated with Client program delivery, including authorization decisioning enhancements and ongoing network compliance changes. Perform discovery work with vendor and internal SMEs to deeply understand legacy auth processor improvement opportunities and execute on prioritized recommendations. This will include a focus on: Comprehensive vendor data model documentation review and updates Proposing, delivering, and maintaining a Data Usage-centric payment processing data strategy inclusive of Data Producers and Data Consumers data quality controls and data lineage. Partner with Tech to define and implement a reusable testing plan to validate end-to-end authorizations platform functionality and support manual test execution and validation as needed while building towards an automated test execution and validation strategy. This will include hands-on test execution from UIs, APIs, and vendor mainframe applications, hands-on data analysis with Python and SQL, and hands-on configuration of test automation tooling. Participate in production issue root cause analysis and remediation with a keen eye to reducing repeated patterns and addressing platform gaps.
Must Have's Payments Industry/Ecosystem expertise including experience with payment networks and legacy mainframe-based authorization processing systems Hands-on experience independently pulling and analyzing authorization system data with Python and SQL (ideally, using Snowflake and Databricks) and presenting findings to tech team and business team POCs Experience with proposing, delivering, and maintaining an automated end-to-end testing strategy inclusive of test data preparation, test execution (from browsers, API, and mainframe greenscreens), and test validation (operational data and analytical data) capabilities
Nice-to-Have's Prior bank experience Hands-on experience working with payment processor mainframe applications (i.e. using "green screens" to look up records and validate outcomes) Hands-on experience proposing, delivering, and maintaining a Data Usage-centric payment processing data strategy that ensures Data Producers and Data Consumers have adequate data quality controls based on the data lineage to each relevant Data Usage.
