Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Leverage and define AWS environments and workloads using Infrastructure as Code tools
- Orchestrate application delivery across stateless and stateful resources via Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment tools
- Transition bare metal and VM-hosted applications to containers and serverless architectures
- Migrate legacy or non-scalable platforms to high-availability, scalable cloud architectures (including web apps, databases, and storage, etc.)
- Execute data and application migrations from on-premise to AWS
- Automate platform operations and application delivery processes
- Implement optimized AWS solutions with consideration for cost efficiency, scalability, and high availability
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- 2-3 years working with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- Relevant cloud certifications preferred (or expected within first 90 days)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or ARM Templates
- Proficient scripting on Linux or Windows using Bash, Python, or PowerShell, including use of the AWS SDK or CLI
- Familiarity with key security practices (IAM, least privilege, firewalls, patching, antivirus, etc.)
- Experience in traditional VM, containerized (Docker, Kubernetes), or serverless architectures
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture across networks, systems, and applications
- Skilled in version control systems like Git, VSTS, or SVN
- 2-3 years of systems engineering or administration experience on Linux or Windows
- Exposure to CI tools and practices (Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, Bamboo)
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
