General Job Description:
Innovation DuPage seeks a Program Manager to champion its business incubator and accelerator programs. Primary responsibility is to attract, enroll and onboard startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses. Secondary responsibility will focus on managing educational programs and events that advance the entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout DuPage County.
Goals:
Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of Innovation DuPage.
Attracts and serves startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses:
o Enroll 50 companies annually in business incubation (Members)
o Enroll 30 companies annually in business acceleration (O2CEO)
Tracks activity and efforts, and communicates with Managing Director:
o 70% of time dedicated to attraction and enrollment
o 30% of time dedicated to program, project and event management
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attracts and serves startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses:
o Identifies prospects and sources for prospects; maintains source list
o Conducts personalized outreach
o Ensures program applications are complete
o Maintains contact history in Salesforce
o Qualifies prospects using established criteria
o Cultivates relationships with prospects through interviews, tours, staff introductions
o Solicits prospects for membership and program participation
o Ensures registrations and MOUs are executed
o Onboards members, ensuring they have access to needed resources
o Ensures performance and data is reflected on dashboard
Leads identified programs, projects, and events:
o Takes initiative
o Creates program and project plans
o Schedules and attends meetings
o Prepares agenda and call guides for meetings
o Debriefs meetings, providing notes and identifying action items
o Fulfills duties as allocated or assigned
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
:
2-3 years’ program management experience
Experience with startups and the entrepreneurial community a plus
Business consulting experience and familiarity with DuPage County
Working Conditions:
Dynamic headquarters in downtown Glen Ellyn Civic Center. Four days in person required. Some local travel to attend events and represent Innovation DuPage and its members and partners.
