SUMMARY

The Credit Officer is responsible for providing support, direction, and credit information to ensure overall quality of the Bank's lending portfolio, managing Loan Operations Department, ensures accurate and timely servicing of the Bank's loan portfolio, and oversees the production of loan documentation relating to the opening, servicing, and closing of all loans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises credit underwriting, credit analysts, and loan operations staff of 15 or more people, including a Loan Operations Manager. Reviews financial spreads for accuracy and assists credit analysts in loan underwriting, credit proposal preparation and annual loan review preparation. Oversees the credit administrative function of the Bank. Reviews large and complex loans prior to their submission to Loan Committee. Reviews consist of making recommendations on loan structure, terms, and pricing so as to not expose the Bank to undue credit risk. Prepares and distributes credit information covering loan quality trends, growth trends, and loan product concentrations to the EVP of Loans as wellas the Board of Directors. Assists the EVP in monitoring and developing the Bank's CRA program. Attempts to ensure that individual loans are risk rated correctly when reviewing loans for Loan Committee submission, as well as at annual loan review. Develops and maintains knowledge of the financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors, and competition. Works with the EVP of Loans in the preparation of the Analysis of Credit Loss / CECL to assure proper reporting. Monitors and reports on financial and technical exception tracking to assure that the Bank maintains a minimal level of risk due to past due exceptions. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. Other tasks and duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree from a Four-year College, or University 10 or more years of related experience and/or training Strong knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer loan processing Knowledge and experience in all lending activities and terminology Knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return analysis Strong computer skills Ability to learn new computer programs efficiently and prepare reports
