Job Summary:
s a Senior Manager in DevOps & Storage Engineering, you will lead a team focused on product development, automation, and enterprise storage solutions across AWS Cloud and on-premises platforms. You will work with emerging technologies to build scalable, resilient, and secure data solutions, integrating NetApp ONTAP and Cohesity hyperconverged storage into the infrastructure. Your role will involve supporting the creation of AWS-based frameworks using CNCF patterns, Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, Github Actions, Prometheus, Splunk, APM, Monitoring, Observability, and Alerting.
This role requires deep expertise in IBM i administration, storage management (NetApp ONTAP, Cohesity), and DevOps practices, integrating Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based automation. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Security, and Agile teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that align with business objectives.
Essential Functions:
1. Manage and optimizes IBM PowerSystems running IBMi, ensuring high availability and performance for ACBS and other critical applications. 2. Architects and implements storage solutions using NetApp ONTAP for enterprise NAS/SAN environments and Cohesity hyperconverged storage for backup and disaster recovery. 3. Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. 4. Automates system deployment, monitoring, and alerting solutions across IBMi, AWS, and storage environments. 5. Ensures compliance with security policies and industry best practices for data governance, encryption, and access control. 6. Optimizes storage performance and implements data protection strategies using NetApp Snapshot, Cohesity DataProtect, and cloud-based replication. 7. Collaborates with IT security teams to implement storage security measures, including ransomware protection and immutable backups. 8. Leads a team of employees and contractors in managing a complex IT infrastructure environment on AWS, prioritizing quality, availability, productivity, and consistency. 9. Supervises and supports staff, setting performance standards, managing workflow, evaluating performance, and recommending personnel actions as needed in alignment with HR guidelines. 10. Identifies current and future technology needs and guides the team's technical direction for capacity planning. Recommend necessary technology and training requirements. 11. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for critical infrastructure support.
Experience Details Required/Preferred:
8 years of experience in IT Operations, DevOps, or Storage Engineering required 8 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or other cloud services required 5 years of supervisory/management experience required 5 years of experience managing IBM PowerSystems running IBMi, including ACBS administration required 5 years of experience managing NetApp ONTAP storage environments (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC) required 3 years of experience with Cohesity hyperconverged storage for backup and disaster recovery required
Other Qualifications:
1. Expert-level proficiency in AWS cloud services, including S3, EBS, FSx for NetApp ONTAP, and hybrid storage solutions. 2. Advanced knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD automation. 3. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and system management. 4. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. 5. Experience in disaster recovery planning and data replication technologies. 6. AWS/Azure/GCP certifications are a plus. 7. Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry preferred. 8. Proven track record of building high-performing technology delivery teams that are aligned with business objectives and possess a deep understanding of the needs of the business teams they support. 9. Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and team-building skills, including the ability to manage, train, and motivate individuals, and instill accountability, ownership, and transparency to ensure on-time delivery of projects and commitments.
