The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for securing philanthropic support for the SPCO by building strong relationships with donors, aligning their interests with giving opportunities, and encouraging ongoing and increased engagement. This role manages a portfolio of major donors and prospects, with a focus on securing significant annual fund gifts, special project funding, and major endowment commitments. Through personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, the Major Gifts Officer ensures donor retention and growth while advancing the organization's mission.Specific duties to include:Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of at least 125 major donors and prospects.Create and manage individual goals for each person on the caseload. Create a plan for each donor that is driven by that donor's passions, interests, and communication preferences, and execute that plan.
