Overview: The Histology Manager makes sure the histology lab runs smoothly and efficiently. He/she oversees the team, manages daily operations, ensures compliance with regulations, and keeps improving lab processes.
Responsibilities: Lab Work & Supervision - Lead a team of histology professionals and make sure high-quality lab work gets done, including tissue processing, cutting, and staining. Quality Control - Meet high industry standards and all regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, etc.). Training & Team Support - Help train, support, and manage the team to ensure they perform at their best. Collaboration - Work with other departments like pathology, supply chain, and client services to keep everything running smoothly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in science or medical technology). At least 5 years of experience as a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician. At least 1 year in a leadership role. HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certified. Knowledge of lab regulations (CLIA, CAP, OSHA). Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
