We are seeking a
Healthcare Assistant Project Manager
with a strong background in healthcare experience, representing owners on capital programs, facility upgrades, renovations, and additions for healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will manage Capital Program Management/Owners Representative assignments, representing the owner and stakeholder groups, and be part of a high-performing team delivering healthcare projects.
The Assistant Project Manager will oversee design professionals and contractors in constructing healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech facilities. Responsibilities include managing all project phasesbudgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move management, and closeout. Assist the Project Manager in leading project teams, setting goals, developing policies, and mentoring team members. Support cross-functional healthcare projects with resource demands and risks. Monitor design and construction to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards. Evaluate and develop budgets, cash flows, and cost estimates; review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices. Identify and address potential liabilities and risks. Develop and maintain project schedules to meet objectives. Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors; resolve conflicts. Communicate complex ideas effectively to all stakeholders, including executive leadership. Contribute to the development of standards, protocols, policies, and procedures. Guide and instruct less experienced team members. Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. 2-5 years of owner representative/project management experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech projects. Experience managing projects valued at a minimum of $10 million. Strong knowledge of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively. Ability to resolve issues creatively and supervise team members including recruitment and development. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, and project management software. Ability to forecast challenges and develop solutions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance. Compensation Range:
