Contract to Hire LOCATION : West Columbia for training, then reporting to the Orangeburg facility OVERVIEW: Join our dynamic IT support team as a Desktop Support Technician! This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while providing essential technical support to end-users. You'll be instrumental in maintaining our client's technology infrastructure and ensuring smooth daily operations for our workforce. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, repair, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and related peripherals Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues Deploy software, patches, and updates across various devices Manage and track IT asset inventory Create and deploy system images for desktops and laptops Troubleshoot hardware and software failures Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs Assist with network-related issues Manage printer supplies and maintenance Support users in software selection and implementation REQUIREMENTS: Associate's Degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience 2-8 years of relevant IT support experience (depending on grade level) Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems Experience with system imaging and deployment Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Seniority level
