We are seeking qualified applicants for an IT Support Analyst Tier 1 position in the Twin Cities area. The Tier 1 Analyst offers first point of contact with end user support at a very broad level. This position is a hybrid role with split between in-office and work from home days. Some site travel in the Metro and greater Minnesota area is required. Existing ticket management, network configuration, desktop and laptop hardware backgrounds preferred. Candidates should have strong organizational skillsets for building workflows around high priority requests and updating existing support ticket timelines with end users. The IT Support team offers 3 Tiers and we offer on-the-job training, paid certification and a clear path to promotion. Consider joining us!Primary Responsibilities for this position include:Provide day-to-day helpdesk-based troubleshooting and technical support for LSS staff in support of agency services. Configure, manage, and maintain workstation hardware, operating systems, and connectivity used by LSS staff and functional areas. Manage and maintain desktop application software. Perform other projects as assigned.Provide workstation-related technical expertise to a state-wide network comprised of over 2500 staff at 13 networked and over 200 standalone sites. This includes approximately 1000 mobile (laptop) staff. Staffs connect to the network in a variety of ways which adds significant complexity to the support function.Job Requirements:Must be able to read, write, speak and hearAbility to respond in a timely mannerProfessional and respectful representative of LSS to internal and external people of various backgrounds, titles, organizations, and at differing locationsMulti-tasking and prioritizing skills are requiredPhysical dexterity is necessary to type, use a computer and other equipment, as well as use the telephone.Must be able to lift 5-20 lbs regularlyMust have good problem solving and decision-making skillsThe successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
