Astrolab is looking for a reliable and customer service minded IT Specialist to join our team and provide critical IT support and maintenance. As an IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our IT infrastructure and enabling our team members excel in their roles.
What You'll Do: Provide on-site technical support to address IT issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and resolve technical challenges for the user community Provision new user equipment, including laptops, tablets, and phones, and configure user requirements, including software and inclusion with Entra and Intune, patching, handoff, and user training/onboarding. Minimum of 2 years work experience using Microsoft Entra ID in cloud-only environments (non-hybrid), including setting up user accounts, groups, troubleshooting access issues, lockouts, and other user issues Minimum of 2 yearswork experience using Microsoft InTune to manage corporate user systems, including compliance, policy, BitLocker, allow/deny groups, recovery keys, etc.. Basic understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting, including VLANs, subnetting, routing, DHCP, and DNS functionality,y and connectivity issues Collaborate with remote IT teams to assist in system upgrades, patch management, and maintenance tasks Assist in the setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment for presentations, meetings, and collaboration Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control to ensure data security and compliance Familiarity with some forms of corporate compliance, such as SOC, SOC2, SOX, PCI, HIPAA, and NIST Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, and inventory Properly interface with end-users to engage and resolve issues,s and communicate throughout the process from beginning to completion Document process - knowledge of Confluence/Jira a plus but not required. We document common solutions to problems and look to sort out the root cause whenever possible. Collaborate with external vendors for equipment procurement and repairs when necessary Have hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, including creation, management, and troubleshooting of issues within the platform and within SharePoint Have hands-on experience with Azure (creation of VMs and related objects/networking), and basic troubleshooting skills, including having worked both in DEV and PROD environments What's Prepared You:
Associates degree (or higher) in an information technology-related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent and 5+ years of experience in an IT support function, excluding software development or project management Experience with endpoint software automation (Microsoft Autopilot) Experience setting up virtual machines and other supporting elements in Azure, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, Entra, Intune, and SharePoint experience required Additional Requirements
Must be able to bend, crouch, reach, and stoop on occasion (I.e. running network cables and installing hardware) What We Offer:
