Position Title:
Network Administrator II (WAN)
Location:
Lackland Airforce Base, TX
Clearance level:
TS with SCI Eligibility
Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To):
Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth; report anomalies to Government team leads.
Escalate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators. Develop, execute, modify, or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks.
Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request for auditing or investigation purposes.
Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
5+ years experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
Intermediate understanding/experience with Enterprise network architectures and configurations.
Must possess a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must have at least one of the following certifications:
CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider
Desired Qualifications:
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Service Provider, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Collaboration (preferred)
Deep understanding/experience with enterprise-level network architectures and configurations.
Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) is highly desired.
