Tuesday - Saturday (2pm -10pm)

$38.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Clinical Therapist for a Behavioral Qualified Residential Treatment Program (BQRTP) is responsible for providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents with serious emotional or behavioral disorders. This role includes individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and coordination of care to support residents' mental health and overall well-being. The Clinical Therapist ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, including Florida Administrative Code Chapter 65C-46, while delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Therapeutic Services Conduct individual therapy sessions tailored to each resident's needs and treatment plan goals. Facilitate group therapy sessions addressing common issues such as trauma, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships. Provide family therapy to improve family dynamics and support reunification efforts where appropriate. Develop and implement treatment plans with measurable goals, collaborating with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Deliver crisis intervention services, including de-escalation techniques and post-crisis counseling. Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments for each resident upon admission, identifying strengths, challenges, and treatment needs. Review and update treatment plans regularly, ensuring alignment with residents' progress and evolving needs. Document all therapeutic activities and maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing clinical insights and recommendations to inform care decisions. Coordinate with external providers, such as medical professionals, schools, and case managers, to ensure holistic support for residents. Advocate for residents' mental health needs, ensuring access to appropriate resources and services. Ensure therapeutic practices align with trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based methods. Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, including the Agency for Healthcare Administration and DCF regulations. Stay current on best practices in mental health and behavioral interventions through professional development and continuing education. Participate in required pre-service and annual in-service training on topics such as trauma-informed care, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), human trafficking awareness, and crisis intervention. Education and/or Experience:

Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC). At least two (2) years of experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents in a behavioral health or residential setting.
