Director of Business Development (or Economic Development) The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership Salary Range:

$75,000-$90,000 Reports to:

CEO The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is seeking a strategic and goal-oriented Director of Business Development to join our executive team. This role will support our efforts to recruit new businesses to The Woodlands through proactive problem-solving and operations support. We're looking for someone hungry, humble, and smart who is willing to learn and has a foundational understanding of business and economics. (Note: This job description/posting asks a lot from a single individual. We do not expect you to be an expert at all these things. We are looking for someone who has the ability to grow into this role, enjoys solving these types of problems, and is willing to continuously improve alongside a team committed to excellence.) About Us: The EDP serves as a central catalyst for economic growth and development in The Woodlands area, connecting businesses, investors, and community stakeholders to create a thriving local economy. We rely on our investors and partners to fund our activities and provide their expertise. In turn, we recruit the next generation of businesses to The Woodlands and solve problems for our existing businesses. Core Challenges You'll Solve: Business Recruitment:

Implement and support strategies to attract target industries and companies to The Woodlands in a competitive economic landscape Pipeline Management:

Build, maintain, and track a robust pipeline of potential business relocations and expansions Problem-Solving for Existing Businesses:

Identify challenges facing local businesses and leverage community resources to create solutions Relationship Cultivation:

Nurture key relationships with site selectors, corporate real estate professionals, and economic development partners Strategic Planning:

Partner with the CEO to determine target industries, success metrics, and tactical approaches that maximize impact Value Demonstration:

Effectively communicate the EDP's impact and ROI to investors and community stakeholders Seamless Experiences:
