Senior Territory Manager, Middle Market Business Development - Commercial Lines (Senior Production Underwriter) . We are expanding in the Middle Market and are looking for a candidate with experience in working with retail insurance agencies and brokers, focusing on profitable growth of a defined portfolio with personal underwriting authority.

This role is ideally based near major metropolitan areas in the Central or Western regions such as Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Denver, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. It involves approximately 25% travel and offers the flexibility of a Work-From-Home arrangement. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor market conditions, analyze risks, and prepare reports to support account acquisition and retention strategies. Underwrite complex accounts, manage workflow, and ensure quality and efficiency. Develop and execute agency business plans, and market Nationwide products and services. Build strong relationships with agencies, develop new business opportunities, and provide industry insights. Lead agency visits, deliver excellent customer service, and mentor team members. Qualifications:
Commercial insurance underwriting experience with authority. Experience managing production and agency relationships. Preferred: Multi-line underwriting experience, industry segment expertise, relevant designations (CPCU, CIC, AU). Additional Details: This position reports to the Director, Commercial Lines Middle Market Business Development. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and ten years of underwriting and sales experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting, sales techniques, and agency management is essential.
