Shields Point, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has a dynamic opportunity for a Project Manager (PM) supporting the Department of Transportation Armed Security Contract in the Washington, D.C. area. The PM has full authority to act on all contract matters to ensure compliance, technical, cost, and schedule performance. This role requires a leader with law enforcement or security experience in managing multiple government building locations and leading armed security teams providing physical security, emergency preparedness, and response, while interacting with government personnel and ensuring compliance with regulations. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award, which may require a signed letter of intent. If awarded, a subsequent posting will be available on the Company Careers portal. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage quality control, compliance, supervision, inspections, and evaluation of personnel. Oversee staffing, training, duties, and quality control for 24/7 security operations across multiple government facilities, ensuring FPS A-9 standards compliance. Serve as primary government contact with full authority to act for the contractor. Coordinate staffing, medical exams, fitness and drug testing, and training schedules. Submit deliverables and maintain records as required. Be available within 30 minutes by phone or in person during weekdays. Respond to emergencies within 10 minutes and be on-site within one hour of call. Provide contract deliverables and track expenditures. Attend meetings as requested. Assess and evaluate contract performance, initiating corrective actions as needed. Monitor employee licenses, training, and certifications. Manage armed security weapons procedures and storage on federal property. Set priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Understand federal audits and reporting requirements. Ensure responsive, customer-focused services through effective communication. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience
U.S. Citizen with an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance. Bachelor’s or master’s degree or substantial law enforcement, military, or management experience managing security operations. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in law enforcement or security, including project development and budget control. Experience managing budgets, resources, and multi-task contracts or subcontracts. Proven experience managing 50+ armed security officers. Experience with contracts involving Collective Bargaining Agreements. Fluent in English, with strong communication skills. Provide three professional references demonstrating large-scale security management experience. Expected Pay Range: $98,754 to $148,131 per year.Additional Details
