Qualifications The qualified candidate will have six (6) to twelve (12) years of land development and/or public works experience. Candidates for this position must demonstrate: Independent thought and decision-making abilities Management and supervisory skills Adeptness in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients, public agency personnel, and in-house professional peers Candidate experience will include the following: Supervision of engineering designers (including daily assignments, review of work, and quality control) Management of project schedules and budgets Preparation of contracts, proposals, and scopes of work Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions Required design experience includes: Municipal streets Drainage systems, water mains, sanitary sewers ADA-compliant sidewalks Other municipal infrastructure projects Preparation of plans, technical specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates Experience should also include: AutoCAD/Civil 3D or CAD experience The position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of public works infrastructure projects, along with the ability to interact comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies. A good driving record is required.
