Full-time What to Expect: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and support our various engineering groups within Tesla. The Global Supply Manager builds and leverages strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. The successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated with expert overall sourcing expertise. What You’ll Do: Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated and documented before business is initiated. Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla’s pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations. Lead the vendor selection process with engineering teams. Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through price negotiations. Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities. Analyze current spend and evaluate suppliers. Consolidate spend across supply base to create leverage and develop sourcing alternatives. Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers and negotiate on multiple variables to award long-term strategic contracts. Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers, and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements. What You’ll Bring: 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management; higher level roles available for more senior candidates. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience. Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, modeling, etc. preferred. Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
