JOB SUMMARY The Senior Director Technology Operations is responsible for overseeing the strategic and day-to-day operations of technology services across the organization. This role ensures that the technology infrastructure, platforms, and services effectively support the company’s operations. Manages a team of experienced professionals who work with a high degree of independence. Implement strategies, policies and procedures for short-term results. Influences others outside the work area. Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture. RESPONSIBILITIES Typical job responsibilities of the Senior Director Technology Operations include: Technology Leadership & Strategy •Develop and execute the technology operations strategy aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. •Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders across Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Compliance, translating business needs into technology solutions. •Drive innovation in operational technology (OT), IT/OT convergence, and the digital transformation of gas infrastructure operations. •Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies relevant to the natural gas industry, such as IoT, SCADA systems, AI-driven analytics, and predictive maintenance. •Oversee the delivery of high-availability, secure, and reliable technology services, including data centers, network infrastructure, enterprise systems, and end-user computing. •Ensure robust IT/OT system integrations to support real-time monitoring and control of gas pipelines, compressors, and related assets. •Implement and manage IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL) to ensure service quality, performance metrics, and continuous improvement. •Manage vendor and partner relationships, including service providers, cloud vendors, and technology partners. •Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of technology professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable culture. •Develop and manage the Technology Operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with business priorities. •Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining operational integrity and security. •Perform other duties as required. REQUIRED SKILLS •Understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements. •Strong technical background in IT infrastructure. •Proven success in leading large, complex IT/OT operations with a focus on reliability, security, and compliance. •Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related applications. Uses understanding of digital concepts to create basic digital tools. •Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Expert interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills. •Advanced attention to detail, organization and prioritization. •Expert cognitive, decision-making and problem-solving skills. •Growth mindset with an advanced ability to innovate, embrace change and have grit EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE •Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. •12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior technology operations or infrastructure role. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS •This position is located at BKV's Fort Worth, Texas office. •Indoor working environment that requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment. •May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others. •Some travel up to 10% may be required.
