Save Job

Are you interested in playing a key role in the success of small businesses worldwide? People who work for themselves fuel our global economy. In the US, small businesses employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs; internationally, the stats are even more skewed. However, the odds are stacked against them, with one in every two businesses failing within the first five years, and two out of three before they can turn ten.

Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below. One of the most severe challenges small businesses face is managing cash flow—balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left for profit or a rainy day. QuickBooks aims to change this by providing access to services that improve business prospects and increase survival rates. As the Head of Product for Checkout and Payor Portal, you will lead teams of product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to build a world-class checkout experience for QuickBooks Payments. You will drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for our checkout, conversion, and notification capabilities, creating a hyper-personalized experience for our merchants’ payors to address B2C and B2B payment needs of small and mid-market businesses alike. Responsibilities

Drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for Checkout, Conversion, and Notifications capabilities, including building core horizontal capabilities, delightful UX, and hyper-contextualized experiences to meet diverse industry and business needs. Develop a deep understanding of QuickBooks’ payments checkout product, customers, and conversion strategies. Think like a general manager of the product, working backwards from revenue goals while balancing revenue outcomes with product quality, speed, and customer needs. Build strong platform capabilities that ensure stability and credibility, enhancing the customer experience. Be customer-centered and data-driven, working closely with analytics to define measurement strategies that optimize long-term success and predict winning experiments. Drive rigorous prioritization and investment decisions to deliver your team’s vision and roadmaps. Build and lead an exceptional team of product managers, guiding them with product rigor and customer- and data-obsessed decision-making at a fast pace. Hold high standards, drive accountability, encourage diverse perspectives and debates, all while maintaining kindness and empathy. Foster a cohesive culture that unites diverse, successful teams through strong communication, thought leadership, and customer obsession to build world-class products. Promote the health of the product organization through coaching, mentoring, recruiting, and contributing to the broader product team. Minimum Requirements

10+ years of experience as a product manager, designing and shipping impactful SaaS software across web and mobile (iOS/Android). Proven success in scaling organizations and managing teams of leaders and individual contributors, with the ability to attract and retain top talent. Previous payments experience, especially in building modern checkout experiences. Analytical, data-driven mindset—balancing data and intuition in product decisions. Customer-obsessed approach—advocating for customers at all times. Track record of delivering results and scaling products to millions of customers. Experience identifying significant opportunities and driving product vision, strategies, and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals. Ability to collaborate closely with senior and executive leadership on product strategy. Inspiring leadership with strategic thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and high standards for quality and consistency. Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top product talent, with passionate direct reports. Growth mindset—open to feedback, continuous learning, and risk-taking. MBA preferred.
