Job Summary The Associate Director, Data Policy Governance role is part of RBC's Enterprise Information Management Risk, a second line team within RBC's Group Risk Management. This role supports the Data Policy Governance lead in managing data-related policies and executing adherence reviews.

Support the development and maintenance of data-related frameworks, policies, and standards for governing the firm's data. Ensure alignment of data frameworks, policies, and standards with enterprise and operational risk management frameworks. Maintain an inventory of data-related regulations, communications, and audit findings to support policy comprehensiveness. Develop methodologies for monitoring policy compliance. Assist in US regional reporting on data risks and key risk indicators. Participate in forums discussing policy adoption, exception requests, and risk acceptances. Qualifications

Must have: An undergraduate degree and experience in second-line governance or compliance management related to data in financial services or a regulated industry. Experience in developing and implementing data management frameworks, policies, and standards. Experience with regulatory research and analysis. Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities. Ability to identify stakeholder information and communication needs. Nice-to-have: Experience in a matrix environment within a large, publicly traded corporation. Strategic thinking and excellent interpersonal skills. Effective time management and adaptability. Knowledge of data, privacy, compliance, and regulatory risk management in a regulated industry. What’s in it for you?
