Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procurement under government or commercial contracts.
Prepare bid packages, conduct bidder conferences, analyze proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, and administer subcontracts.
Negotiate and coordinate modifications to subcontracts.
Collaborate with contract administration and purchasing to develop policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, identify risks, and coordinate audits.
Manage subordinate staff and make decisions impacting department or company outcomes.
Advise management on procurement issues related to government and commercial subcontracts.
Interpret and execute subcontract policies, recommend modifications, and ensure process efficiency.
Coordinate work assignments, review work, and ensure timely subcontract processes.
Review confidentiality, license agreements, and documentation for compliance and business objectives.
Influence proposal preparation, review RFP/RFQs, and evaluate subcontract documentation.
Identify and resolve complex subcontract issues.
Act as primary contact for subcontract activities and represent the company externally.
Participate in human resource planning and development.
Maintain confidentiality and legal compliance.
Ensure safe work practices.
Additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field, plus 11+ years of experience in contracts; equivalent experience may be substituted.
Experience managing staff preferred.
Extensive knowledge of government and commercial contract management, FAR, UCC, and related laws.
Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams, with willingness to travel.
Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $100,290 - $183,098
