Program Director 1

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This requisition will be used to fill multiple roles based in

Melbourne, FL. This is a leadership position with daily executive interactions. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels, including executive leadership. Key Responsibilities include: Positively lead, inspire and motivate a team to execute to plan.

Effectively coordinate across multiple program IPTs to manage change and configuration of requirements.

Customer communication and collaboration to drive mutual goals and shared success.

Lead a team of technical members to deliver program, cost and technical milestones.

Define goals, develop the team and ensure the team is continuously performing and growing into expanded roles.

Lead a diverse team in the execution of a dynamic development, manufacturing and test program baseline.

Actively manage Risk, Issues & Opportunities to ensure program execution success.

Partner with functional disciplines to define and integrate expertise into the team.

Be a digital advocate, applying new tools and functionality to drive execution efficiencies.

Define, negotiate, monitor & track performance of suppliers; manage change and ensure performance to plan.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience.

Related experience includes project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management.

At least 3 years’ experience in program/project management on development, manufacturing and/or testing of Department of Defense contracts.

Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access required for the position.

Responsibility for profit and loss with DoD customers in the execution of cost-type contracts.

Earned Value Management experience on DoD programs.

Change Management experience.

Supplier Management experience across the defense industrial base.

Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Prior roles executing on digital programs leading to an understanding of digital ecosystems.

Experience leading a team in a matrixed environment to achieve program goals.

Program management experience on Agile programs applying incremental planning.

Responsibility for profit and loss with U.S. Military customers in the execution of cost-type contracts.

Earned Value Management experience on U.S. Military programs.

At least 3 years’ experience in program/project management on development, manufacturing and/or testing of air vehicles or modification of air vehicles.

Salary Range:

$187,700 - $281,500 Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
