The New Construction Superintendent is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners. The Superintendent is responsible for supervising employees and maintaining a safe working environment compliant with government regulatory guidelines and safety systems on multiple projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure work site is compliant with OSHA regulations and safety protocols
Manage and schedule installation of HVAC material and equipment
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes safety, quality, and efficiency
Lay out crews to install material on scheduled dates
Maintain consistent contact with General Contractors to be aware at all times of expected installation dates
Request and coordinate HVAC material and equipment needs; ensure materials delivery, installation, and project schedules are met
Keep project status up to date to ensure timely delivery
Attend and participate in GC meetings
Conduct weekly inspections, and safety meetings
Complete all required job reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis
Walk job constantly to follow-up with installers
Identify and resolve problems that need to be corrected
Maintain open and positive communication with General Contractor, Project Manager and field employees
Manage sub-contractors, ensure work done meets contract and company requirements
Installation of commercial HVAC systems
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
5-8 years experience in commercial mechanical new construction
Experience in installation of all Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems and equipment, including but not limited to: RTU’s, VRF Systems, VAV’s / FPB, AHU’s, Louvers, Split Systems, Chilled Water Systems
Ability to run work and manage crews to set the pace of the project to outperform project schedule and minimize the budget impact and durations onsite
