Job Description: Sourcing Manager - EBOS
Location: Onsite - Fremont, CA
Role Overview: Nextracker is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for EBOS (Electrical Balance of System). The role involves ensuring a resilient supply chain, driving cost reduction initiatives, and fostering supplier innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement, supplier management, and manufacturing operations, especially within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for EBOS components aligned with organizational goals.
Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance to meet quality and delivery standards.
Assess supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Drive innovation and cost reduction through supplier collaboration and process improvements.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align sourcing with production needs.
Conduct cost analyses and identify opportunities for financial efficiency.
Ensure procurement complies with regulations and internal policies.
Identify and mitigate sourcing risks, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
Monitor industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to refine sourcing strategies.
Manage RFQs, support contract negotiations, and handle escalations.
Oversee pricing cycles, inventory valuation, NREs, reconciliation, and capacity planning.
Maintain supplier performance metrics and organize quarterly reviews.
Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
8+ years in supply chain management with a focus on strategic sourcing for EBOS (e.g., wire harness, inverter racks, combiner boxes, disconnects, IPC, trunk bus, fuses).
Experience managing a global supplier base and distributed teams.
Deep knowledge of wire harness manufacturing, box integration, and mechanical assemblies.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
High autonomy and accountability for results.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in solar or renewable energy industries.
Experience working with EPCs and EBOS components.
Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally.
