This role, part of the regional Equity Business Execution team, supports the Equity business focusing on Asia South cluster. It ensures the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, compliance with market-specific regulations, and maintains a strong governance and control framework. The role requires understanding of the Equity business, exchange operations, clearing houses, and custodians, along with the ability to identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams. Responsibilities : Collaborate with senior management to drive strategic initiatives related to clients, personnel, capital, and compliance, coordinating across product groups, regions, sectors, and functional partners to foster business growth. Lead control improvement projects and assess impacts related to regulatory changes and commitments. Oversee the implementation of new product capabilities from planning through execution. Work with Business Execution partners to streamline processes, enhance technology, and develop consistent policies and procedures. Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs in partnership with senior management and other teams. Review and improve existing processes and develop comprehensive, business-appropriate controls. Prepare ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior management, highlighting key issues and findings. Investigate operational risk events, perform root cause analysis, and ensure remediation actions are implemented. Manage internal audits and ensure compliance assurance. Promote a collaborative team environment, guiding and sharing knowledge with junior team members. Assess risks associated with business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and escalating control issues transparently. Qualifications : 5+ years of experience in COO, Business Execution, or Business Management roles, preferably within Sales and Trading in Equity or Global Markets. Support functions are also considered. Deep understanding of trade and booking flows from front to back. Proven success in managing day-to-day execution and strategic projects in a large, matrixed organization. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in escalating, managing, and reporting control issues transparently. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus. Ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
