Large Projects Executive , you will oversee large and mega projects from conception to execution, serving as the project lead for both sole ventures and joint partnerships. You will contribute to the overall direction of projects across various sectors such as rail, transit, highways, bridges, dams, and aviation, within our expanding portfolio. Collaborate with Business Development, District, and Division Managers to identify key project pursuits. Support development of winning strategies, participate in teaming partner selection, client meetings, and negotiations. Oversee the transition from estimating to project execution upon award, including resource allocation, budgeting, and project startup. Manage client relations, fostering a partnership environment, while maintaining strict contractual and commercial controls. Build and maintain relationships within the project team, including joint venture partners, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Enforce safety and quality plans, ensuring compliance and high standards. Provide technical and contractual guidance to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Manage the financial health of projects, including monitoring critical metrics and implementing improvement strategies. Identify and mitigate project risks, assessing impacts on cost and schedule. Ensure accurate coding of costs and quantities for financial reporting. Maximize project cash flow and maintain positive financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. What we are looking for
20+ years in heavy civil construction, with 15+ years managing complex transportation and civil projects. Risk management experience is essential. Experience on projects exceeding $400 million is preferred. Knowledge of alternative delivery methods like design-build, CMGC, and CMAR is highly desirable. Experience across highway, transit, aviation, and heavy civil sectors is a plus. PE License (or eligibility) is preferred. Strong financial oversight skills and ability to address project risks. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and accountability. Proficiency in multitasking and prioritization in technical guidance. Proven ability to build lasting client relationships and manage claims and negotiations effectively. Deep understanding of safety policies and commitment to enforce safety standards.
