Overview
Part of the Hydrific team, you are a driving force behind an exciting business venture with a focus around water conservation, usage and sustainability in homes. Hydrific is focused on researching and solving problems in water-stressed regions across the globe, and you will help develop new products and solutions that make better living a reality for everyone, everywhere.
Responsibilities
As the Leader, Operations, you will be responsible for scaling production from early-stage manufacturing to high-volume production while obtaining cost efficiency and quality standards. This role requires an operations expert with a strong background in supply chain management, procurement, quality assurance, contract manufacturing, and logistics. You will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, negotiating the cost of goods sold (COGS), and ensuring smooth distribution. Main Responsibilities: Production & Supply Chain Management
Define and execute Hydrific’s end-to-end operations strategy, scaling production capacity by 5x. Evaluate and select suppliers, ensuring they meet cost, quality, and scalability targets. Build supply chain resilience
by securing backup suppliers and mitigating risks like component shortages or production delays. Oversee
inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supplier lead times , implementing
just-in-time (JIT) and lean strategies . Optimize
warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile logistics
for seamless customer delivery. Collaborate with
engineering
to refine
design for manufacturability (DFM) , improving efficiency and cost. Implement
ERP and supply chain tracking systems
to enhance operational visibility. Ensure fulfillment partners meet
service-level agreements (SLAs) . Develop and manage
reverse logistics, RMA process, and returns
efficiently. Procurement & Cost Optimization
Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management . Establish
global sourcing strategies , balancing cost, lead times, and supplier reliability. Analyze total landed costs,
including
tariffs, freight, and warehousing , to optimize expenses. Identify
alternative materials and suppliers
to
lower COGS
and ensure supply continuity. Drive cost-reduction initiatives , leveraging
bulk pricing, alternate sourcing, and operational efficiencies . Implement
supplier performance metrics
to track and improve
cost, quality, and delivery reliability . Ensure compliance with tariffs, duties, and import/export regulations
to optimize landed costs for international expansion. Quality Control & Compliance
Act as Quality Officer, leading
quality control and improvement initiatives . Establish and enforce
quality control processes
internally and externally, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Manage product certifications (FCC, CE, etc.)
and integrate regulatory requirements into production. Develop and oversee product reliability testing , ensuring long-term durability and performance. Optimize
warranty and return processes , leve raging customer feedback and failure rate analysis
to drive improvements .
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience
in
manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and operations , ideally in
hardware, consumer electronics, or industrial products . Proven experience scaling production from early-stage to high-volume manufacturing . Strong expertise in
supply chain management, contract manufacturing, and global procurement . Hands-on experience optimizing COGS , supplier negotiations, and managing
total landed costs . Familiarity with
logistics, warehousing, fulfillment operations, and inventory planning
(including JIT strategies). Track record in quality assurance , including product testing, regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, etc.), and supplier quality control. Ability to
implement and manage ERP systems and supply chain tracking tools . Strong
analytical skills
with experience in
demand forecasting, cost analysis, and operational efficiency improvements . Excellent
problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills —able to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and finance teams. English fluency (oral and written) required . Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
consumer electronics, IoT, or hardware manufacturing . Background in
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies . Experience navigating import/export regulations, tariffs, and international supplier management . Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management software
(e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Open to
international travel (up to 20%) .
Hiring Range
The Hiring Salary Range for this position is
$150,000.000- $182,000.00 annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.) Other Compensation (if applicable):
This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan of 20 percent of base salary.
