Summary The Freight Forwarder Air Import role involves managing the import of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery, coordinating with airlines, customs, and trucking companies, and maintaining strong organizational and communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities
Manage air import shipments, customs clearance, and delivery Coordinate with airlines, customs, and trucking companies for timely delivery Track shipments and update customers Prepare customs documentation such as invoices and bills of lading Ensure compliance with customs and trade laws Maintain excellent customer relationships Qualifications
Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related fields preferred Experience in air imports highly desirable Basic math skills for cost and rate calculations Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Knowledge
Air freight logistics and customs regulations Trade laws and regulations Fluency in English; additional languages a plus Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with logistics software preferred Employment Type DSV employees are hired as at-will employees, meaning employment can be terminated at any time for any reason, unless prohibited by law. In Montana, termination requires just cause. Compensation Hourly wage ranges from $22.50 to $30.50, based on experience, location, and skills.
