Summary
The Freight Forwarder Air Import ensures the timely import of goods by air, managing customs clearance and delivery, and coordinating with airlines, customs, and trucking companies. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage air import shipments, customs clearance, and final delivery.
Coordinate with airlines, customs, and trucking companies for timely delivery.
Track shipments and update customers accordingly.
Prepare and submit customs documentation, including invoices and bills of lading.
Ensure compliance with customs and trade laws.
Maintain excellent customer relationships and service.
Educational Background / Work Experience
Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related fields preferred.
Experience in air imports highly desirable.
Basic mathematical skills for cost and rate calculations.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Industry Knowledge and Business Acumen
Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
Understanding of trade laws.
Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.
Computer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with logistics software preferred.
Employment Terms
DSV employees are hired as "at will" employees, meaning employment can be terminated at any time for any reason, except where law prohibits. The typical hourly pay range is $22.50 to $30.50, depending on experience and location.
