We are looking for a Lead Customs Specialist based in Washington Twp., MI, Mesa, AZ, or El Paso, TX. Your Responsibilities: Develop and manage regional customs strategies to ensure trade compliance, resolve broker issues, and support shipment clearance. Lead process improvement projects, manage ISF processes, and assess risks related to new trade topics. Oversee solicitation and qualification processes for suppliers and customers, address escalations, and improve duty avoidance and customer request processes. Support regulatory compliance and audits by handling CBP penalties and information requests. Conduct training on free trade agreements, manage ACE/CARM accounts, and prepare quarterly KPI reports. Your Profile: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customs and trade management. Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, International Trade, or related field preferred; equivalent experience (15+ years in customs or international trade) will be considered. Certification in a related field is preferred. Thorough knowledge of US/CA customs regulations and free trade agreements. Experience in project management and process optimization. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels. Willingness to travel to other sites as needed. Seniority Level
