Reporting to the Vice President of Benefits and HR Planning, you will work on a team of 9 at The Cheesecake Factory corporate support center in Calabasas Hills, CA. As our Benefit Analyst, you will play an integral part in a benefits department that offers competitive and innovative benefits as well as excellent staff member service for a global $3.6 billion public company with over 350 full-service restaurants and more than 47,900 total staff members. you like to keep up to date on the never-ending changes in laws and regulations related to benefits.
Here’s more of what you’ll get to do:
Administer various benefits programs, such as health and welfare, retirement, leave of absence and wellness benefits. Reconcile and verify the calculation of monthly vendor invoices and process payments. Reconcile and verify staff member billings and work with our benefits administration vendor on the monthly billing process, collection of payments, enrollment changes and payroll refunds. Resolve vendor and staff billing issues. Determine employee benefits eligibility. Prepare employee benefit communications. Assure accurate and timely transmission of vendor files, payroll files and the required funding. Assist in the completion of benefit plan compliance requirements and filings including ACA, Form 5500 filings, non-discrimination testing, etc. Develop and maintain reports to analyze benefits data as needed for compliance, surveys and plan financial information. Assist staff members with health and welfare, and retirement related questions. Manage benefits related projects and other tasks as assigned.
What we require:
5+ years of benefits or financial analysis experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment Highly organized and strong attention to detail. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel functionality: pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. Experience with HCM systems. What we prefer: Bilingual in Spanish. Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience with UltiPro HCM system. Experience with benefits administration software. Knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit plans and leave management to include ERISA, ACA, IRS, FMLA, and ADAAA Demonstrated knowledge of government regulations regarding benefit programs.
